The PUIC Secretary General, Prof. Dr. Mahmud Erol KILIÇ condemns the armed attack which targeted the Afghani Parliament in Kabul, Capital of Afghanistan.
The Secretary General calls on all parties to preserve the inviolability of the Parliament; considered as the body expressing the view of the brotherly Afghani people, aimed at creating appropriate conditions which will realize peace, security and stability of the sisterly Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

PUIC Secretary General Condemns Aggression against Sudan
The PUIC Secretary General, H.E. Prof. Dr. Mahmud Erol KILIÇ condemned the military attack perpetrated by the State of South Sudan and its occupation of Higleeg region in the Republic of the Sudan.
In his statement the Secretary General demanded immediate withdrawal of the invading forces from Sudanese Soil.
He emphasized the resolutions of the PUIC Conference which call for supporting the Sudan in defending its sovereignty, security, stability as well as standing by its side against all external threats.

Turkish Prime Minister Visits PUIC
The Headquarters of the PUIC was graced by a kind visit of H.E. the Turkish Prime Minister Mr. Recep Tayyib Erdogan and the accompanying delegation on Wednesday evening 28 March 2012 in response to an invitation extended by His Excellency the PUIC Secretary General Prof. Mahmud Erol KILIC.

At the Inter-Arab Union’s Conference Large Scale Activity of Prof. KILIC
H.E. PUIC Secretary General Professor Mahmud Erol KILIC, accompanied by the PUIC Assistant Secretary General, attended the 18th regular Conference of the Inter-Arab Parliamentary Union, as an observer, held in Kuwait on 5-6 March 2012. The Conference was under the patronage of H.H. Emir of the State of Kuwait who delivered a brief speech at the Conference.
The Secretary General held a meeting with H.E. the Speaker of the People’s Council of Kuwait, Sheikh Ahmed Abdul Aziz Al Saadoun.
The Secretary General also met, on the sidelines of the Conference, with the Speakers of Parliaments of Arab Republic of Egypt, Republic of Iraq, State of the United Arab Emirates, Kingdom of Bahrain, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Kingdom of Morocco, Republic of Algeria, Republic of Tunisia, Republic of the Sudan, Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Republic of Yemen. To Condemn Israeli Practices PUIC Secretary General Makes Important Contacts
The PUIC Secretary General H.E. Prof. Mahmud Erol KILIC has carried out important contacts aimed at condemning the Israeli practices against Palestinians and to ensure immediate release of the Speaker of the Palestinian Legislative Council and a number of Council members as well as other Palestinian Political personalities who are detained by Israeli authorities.
Contacts involved addressing the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and informing it about the provisions of the resolutions adopted by the 7th Session of the PUIC Conference in this regard, together with the Union’s demand in its Final Communique to the IPU to freeze membership of Israel.
The PUIC Secretary General also dispatched a Note to all the august Member Parliaments including three enclosures: Statement issued by the Secretary General condemning Israeli authorities following the unjust sentencing by an Israeli Court against Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Duwaik; the message sent by the Secretary General to the IPU; and the reply message to the PUIC Secretary General from the IPU Secretary General in response to the former’s message in this regard. PUIC Secretary General Condemns Detention of Duwaik
The PUIC Secretary General, H.E. Professor Mahmud Erol KILIC Strongly condemned and denounced the unjust sentence passed by an Israeli occupation Court against Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Duwaik, Speaker of the Palestinian National Council.
In his statement Prof. KILIC characterized the sentencing as a blatant and obvious violation of the parliamentary immunity of the elected Speaker of the Palestinian National Council.
His Excellency requested the international community, its civil societies, particularly the IPU and all Parliamentary Unions to denounce this unjust sentence, force the Israeli authorities to revoke it and immediately release Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Duwaik and all those wrongly detained members of the Council. The PUIC Secretary General Professor Mahmud Erol KILIC attended the Second Global Summit on Entrepreneurship which was held in Istanbul, Republic of Turkey, on 3-6 December 2011.

The PUIC Secretary General expressed his utmost concern about the reports on the powerful earthquake which has struck the eastern parts of the Republic of Turkey. PUIC Delegation Participates in Palestine Conference
PUIC Secretary General H.E. Prof. Mahmud Erol KILIC participated in the proceedings of the 5th International Conference on Supporting the Palestinian Intifada, held in Tehran, Islamic Republic of IRAN, on 1-2 October 2011.
The Secretary General was accompanied by their Excellences Ambassador Ali Asghar Mohammadi, Assistant Secretary General and Ambassador Siddiq Yousif Abu Agla, Director of the Cabinet. The PUIC participation in this Conference came as a response to a kind invitation extended by His Excellency the Speaker of The Parliament of Iran, Dr. Ali Larijani to Professor KILIC.
The Conference called, inter alia, for the enactment of laws in all Muslim States to impose a strict ban on Israeli goods as well as activities of all companies and institutions which maintain direct or indirect ties or affiliation with Israel. Read more

H.E. the PUIC Secretary General received in his office H.E. Mr. Mirghani Abbaker Al Tayeb, Ambassador of the Sudan to Iran on 27 September 2011. PUIC Secretary General H.E. Prof Mahmud Erol KILIC participated in the proceedings of the Third Meeting of the Consultative Council for the Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, held in Rabat, Kingdom of Morocco, on 14-15 September 2011. The meeting was organized by ISESCO.
Director General of ISESCO H.E. Dr. Abdul Aziz Othman Al Tuwaijri stated that the meeting aims at energizing the strategy for the proximity of Islamic schools of Thought.
